MEDIACAST, ECC AND E-CAST A GREAT SUCCESS

EXHIBITORS have endorsed the success of this year's Mediacast by signing contracts for 62 per cent of next year's space (5,046 square metres).
Brendan Sherry, Vice President Europe for Planetweb supported the combining of the events, stating: "We were pleased with the joining of MEDIACAST and ECC, as Planetweb was able to highlight its offerings for enhancing consumer electronic devices to a highly targeted audience."
The e-CAST exhibitors also found the co-location with MEDIACAST and ECC very beneficial. David Swaddle, Chief Technology Officer for OuterEye said: "e-CAST gave OuterEye access to high quality decision makers from the broadcast industry. Many of these contacts we met were proving difficult to meet via other approaches. It has provided an excellent range of prospects for us to follow up."
This year the event attracted 9,232 attendees (ABC Audited) of which 6,897 were visitors and 2,402 were exhibitors. The show has become firmly established as the top broadband networking event in Europe in springtime with many of the exhibitors spending one day on their stand and the other two networking around the show.
Again there has been a significant amount of visitors from overseas, with 52 per cent of the attendees coming from outside the UK. This reinforces the truly international profile of the event. (GB)
