TREMORS AT SKARAMOOSH

TYRELL, the UK exclusive reseller for Nothing Real, have announced the sale of another Tremor system to leading post-production house Skaramoosh.
This is the second UK sale of the high-end compositing tool that was premiered at NAB 2001.
Skaramoosh have a range of high profile broadcast and film clients that include BBC Worldwide, BBC Science, BBC Education, Discovery Communications, October Films, Channel 4, Channel 5 and many more. The company has recently produced the high-rating ‘Land Of The Mammoth’ documentary for Discovery and the soon to air Empires of Stone series for Channel 4 – both of these projects required a large amount of compositing and special effects.
The Tremor installation at Skaramoosh will join their existing equipment, which includes SOFTIMAGE½XSI, Avid½DS, Quantel Hal and Avid Illusion. Richard Scarlett, Senior Compositor at Skaramoosh whose portfolio includes Goldeneye, Lost in Space and many BBC productions will be in charge of operating the Tremor system when installed.
Daniel Slight, Managing Director, Skaramoosh, said: “To produce many of the highly complex special effects and computer animation led projects we work on we need the most up to date, versatile, sophisticated, and powerful tools. Tremor meets all of these criteria and will help Skaramoosh to continue to offer compositing of the highest quality.”
