INDIGOVISION ANNOUNCE TECHNOLOGY BREAKTHROUGH

INDIGOVISION Group, one of the UK's most exciting technology companies, have announced a technological breakthrough that allows video to be delivered over wireless and cellular networks to consumer electronics products, such as mobile phones and PDAs.
IndigoVision's technology, called VideoBridge, is the first software product of its kind that enables live video viewing on any Windows-CE or Pocket PC platform, including the Compaq iPaq range, Hitachi HPW600-ETM and NEC Mobile Pro 880. The company have also announced technical clearance from Orange for VideoBridge-powered Orange mobile phones to receive near broadcast quality live video over a 28.8K HDCS connection.
Instead of missing favourite programmes, the football highlights or missing their children's bed time at the other side of the world, consumers will be able to stay up to date with all of the latest action on their mobile and handheld devices whenever and wherever they want.
With VideoBridge-powered devices, people will be able to view on their PDA any type of video feed, from live TV and video-on-demand to CCTV cameras and ‘babycams’.
In addition, up to 24 hours of video footage such as films or sport highlights can be recorded on a VideoBridge powered PDA as a ‘pocket recorder’ for viewing later on the move. (CD)
