Outpost Digital opens in London

In response to the growing demand for end-to-end HD postproduction, Outpost Digital is opening up at 16-19 Gresse Street, in Soho, London.
The facility, part of the Outpost Digital Group in New York and Los Angeles, will serve a variety of markets, including commercials, promos, feature films and long-form broadcast work. The Managing Director of the company is Antony Adel.
The spacious 5,500 square feet state-of-the-art facility offers a completely HD virtual environment. Each of its four suites can be customised according to client and project needs, allowing operators to use their system of choice. Using a Quartz routing system, every suite can offer Discreet’s flame visual effects system, Avid Adrenaline, Final Cut Pro HD, Protools, Shake and Maya.
The suites also feature 5-1 audio monitoring with HD capabilities and are complemented by 46 hot desks for producers and compositors to use compositing packages such as Discreet’s combustion software and Adobe After Effects. Outpost Digital also provides video conferencing facilities and laptops, allowing clients to work remotely or on the fly. Outpost Digital is the first facility in the UK to use Apple’s Xsan storage networking solution, allowing multiple users to access HD files concurrently.
