Charter Broadcast acquires Radio Camera Systems

Charter Broadcast, part of the Blitz Charter Group, one of the world's largest broadcast television equipment rental companies, has acquired Radio Camera Systems (RCS).
Having recognised the growing demand for expert digital radio camera facilities, Blitz Charter's CEO Michael Breen selected RCS to build on the strength and diversity of the broadcast television services company.
Founded by Tony Valentino in 1992, RCS has developed a reputation as being the best in the industry. In the last 12 months, Valentino has worked with Link Research to make ground breaking developments in the digital camera market. Most recent developments include the Link XP2 with digital return and triax based solutions. In the last decade, RCS and Charter have worked side by side on a number of projects, including Champions League Football, Formula 1 Motor Racing at Monaco and Magny Cours and Sports Car racing at Le Mans.
Tony Valentino said: "I have always been impressed by the professionalism of Charter engineers. When the offer to join Charter Broadcast was made, I was delighted to have the opportunity to make RCS part of such a well-known and respected company.”
In his new role as technical director of digital radio camera systems at Charter, Valentino will draw on the experience and expertise that he has gained during a career which spans almost two decades, in order to reinforce Charter's reputation as the world-leading broadcast television services company.
Michael Breen added: "Charter is proud of its reputation for professionalism and commitment to exceeding its customers' expectations. There is a growing need for expertise in digital camera technology and we recognised that Tony is the most experienced in the business.
"RCS was the natural choice to join Charter as its reputation for excellent quality, technical expertise and ability to make the job work under pressure complements the core business values of the company. We are delighted to welcome Tony to the team and look forward to establishing Charter as the leader in digital camera services."
