CLIPBOX STUDIO LIFTS PROMAX & BDA AWARDS
ALREADY proven in the tough on-air news environment, Quantel’s Clipbox Studio live production server passed an arguably even more severe test with flying colours at the recent Promax and BDA Awards evenings.
Both events, each in front of a highly knowledgeable audience of 5000 industry professionals, went off without a hitch. Each show contained around 90 minutes of video, with around 200 separate clips and moving slates to announce each award - including the Quantel Artist of the Year at the Promax evening. On the day of each event, all the clips were loaded into Clipbox Studio from tape, topped and tailed, titled to match the script and put into the Clipbox library. During the events, operator Steve Haines of Quantel simply played out material on cue from the director.
Clipbox Studio response is instantaneous, and on-the-fly changes are easily accommodated, easing the production headaches that are inevitable with any live event.
