PETERPIX - CANNES AND AFTER

LANCASHIRE-based film company PeterPix Productions, makers of up-beat commercial English films, have had success at this year’s Cannes film Festival
Managing Director Peter Tong said: “This is our fifth visit, and we received more attention and got to see more people with power than in all the previous years together. Our first feature, the family comedy ‘Gobsmacked!’ is now in the international sales and distribution loop. Even the premise of our second, Mrs H of Baker Street, a period detective comedy, has brought smiles to all who we spoke to. Putting on my writer's baseball cap, I even pitched an LA action screenplay of mine to Moonstone and was asked to send the screenplay immediately. All so easy and laid back, that I could spent half time in the sea and in the wonderful Kodak pavilion.”
Since Cannes, PeterPix have been gearing up for the premiere of Gobsmacked! in August and gathering the together the loose ends of Mrs H. Crewing and casting is nearly complete. Tong added: “We have to choose one of three big names for the lead role, pull in the last bit of finance, and off we go.”
