AARDMAN JOB CUTS
PRODUCTION problems at animation company Aardman could lead up to 100 redundancies.
Storyline problems with the Aardman/Dreamworks production ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’ have opened up the prospect of large-scale redundancies at the Bristol-based animation company.
Up to 100 jobs may be at threat, and formal consultation has now started. BECTU have a good working relationship with the company, but have not had a formal recognition agreement.
The union are now seeking recognition by Aardman so as to ensure that both staff and freelancers are professionally represented at this difficult time. (CD)
