THE MILL ADDS 100MB CONNECTION

LEADING UK post production group The Mill have announced that they will upgrade their WAM!NET Direct! network service to 100MB.
The installation, which is one of the firsts of its kind in the UK and Europe, will be used across all Mill departments including Mill Film, emill and the recently launched beam.tv.
The upgrade is twenty-five times larger than the Mill’s current connection, enabling much faster delivery of casting tapes, cut approvals and commercials in broadcast quality.
Andy Barmer, director of new media, The Mill, said: “With the exceedingly busy emill department and the launch of beam.tv, a global network of post production facilities, we needed to improve the speed of our digital transfers. As a current WAM!NET customer, it made perfect sense to go to them for the new upgraded connection as we know it will be reliable and easy to implement.”
