NEW BT AND BSKYB DEAL ANNOUNCED

BSKYB have heralded a new marketing agreement with BT which they say will help to further drive the take-up of digital television.
BT residential customers who subscribe to Sky digital will now qualify for £30 off the cost of Sky viewing, including their full range of entertainment packages (which cost from £10 to £34 a month) and even pay-per-view movies, events or the extra Premier League football matches.
Sky digital already provides the widest choice of channels, including 12 Sky Movie screens showing more than 30 movies a day; the widest range of childrens’ channels, including Nickelodeon, Fox Kids and Cartoon Network; the most comprehensive selection of documentary channels including seven Discovery channels, The History Channel and National Geographic Channel; and all the Sky Sports Channels including Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Sky Sports News.
Additionally, Sky Box Office offers up to 25 movies a day starting as often as every 15 minutes and Premiership Plus will allow all their subscribers to purchase the 40 extra live Premier League pay-per-view football matches on a season ticket and individual basis.
Sky's Director of Sales and Distribution, Jon Florshiem, said: "This joint initiative between Sky and BT can only help to further drive digital take-up.
"We're offering BT customers right across the UK the widest choice of quality viewing and state-of-the-art interactive services that add real depth to the viewing experience." (CD)
