FIRST FILM FOUNDATION ANNOUNCE NEW DIRECTIONS 2001

The First Film Foundation have announced that they are now accepting submissions for New Directions 2001.
Established in 1991, New Directions is the premier short film showcase for new British film making talent, run by the First Film Foundation.
Six producer/ director teams are selected on the basis of outstanding short films they have made in the last two years and their development slate of feature projects.
After a gala launch in London, the filmmakers are taken to New York and Los Angeles for two weeks where they and their selected work are presented in a series of exclusive screenings for invited industry audiences. The screenings and receptions are followed by a week of meetings with relevant studios, agents, distributors and production companies with the aim of forming partnerships to move their features closer to production and forging collaborations with the US and UK film industries. This year the programme is expected to take place in the last two weeks of November and the first week of December 2001.
For the guidelines and an application form send an SAE to First Film Foundation, 9 Bourlet Close, London, W1W 7BP, or download them from their website at www.firstfilm.co.uk.
Submissions Deadline: Monday 3rd September 2001. (CD)
