FILM COUNCIL FUND NEW DIGITAL THRILLER

THE FILM Council have announced that shooting has been completed on Bille Eltringham's new digital thriller ‘This Is Not A Love Song’.
Written by Simon Beaufoy and filmed intensively over 12 days, the groundbreaking production relied on state-of-the-art digital video and a tireless cast and crew to complete a fast and furious feature film.
Shooting began on the July 5 in Aberfoyle near Glasgow with the actors and production team working round the clock to deliver the film in digital format.
The story is based around two men whose friendship is tested to the limit when one of them accidentally shoots a farmer's girl. The brutal death leads to the community, bitter for revenge seeking their own justice in a hunt across the mountains.
The Film Council's New Cinema Fund was set up last year to champion new forms of filmmaking and to promote innovative and ‘cutting-edge’ production techniques. ‘This Is Not A Love Song’ is from the first batch of funding investments made by the fund in March of this year. It is committed to pushing the boundaries of digital filmmaking. (CD)
