BAL BROADCAST INTRODUCE NEW PACKAGE

BAL BROADCAST, well known for their Digital Interface Equipment, have introduced a substantial package of new products for the IBC 2001 exhibition.
To expand signal handling, a new 32x32 Serial Digital Video Router has been introduced. This router is modular and both the inputs and outputs can be changed in blocks of four - from the smallest configuration of 4x4 up to the maximum of 32x32.
With dual redundancy available for both power supplies and control cards, the 4000 series router represents a cost effective yet reliable entry to SDV Routing.
To complete the system, 1U and 2U switch boxes are available for simple control.
For extended delivery of SDV signals, a new range of Serial Digital Video to Optical Fibre stand-alone boxes have been launched.
These multi-mode devices allow SDV signals to be sent distances in excess of 1.5 km, using low-cost fibre and connectors. They are ideal for point to point signal transmission, for example from one building to another.
The BAL 421 Quad multi-source viewing splitter has been upgraded to allow direct user input of text. The 421 has superb picture quality and is capable of displaying unbeatable pictures due to the 10 bit processing.
The major expansion in product line on show at IBC 2001 is the new BAL Presentation Equipment. This new set of products includes a Logo Generator, Presentation Generator and Presentation Mixer as well as the peripherals to make a slick presentation suite, including Under-monitor Displays.
In addition to this extensive line-up, BAL are still upgrading their ‘toolkit’ products such as Stand-alone ADC & DAC Converters, SDV Passive Splitters and Humbuckers.
All these products and BAL's traditional equipment is on show at stand 8.269. (CD)
