Pact secure 'outward mission' funding for Dicon

Producers organisation Pact has announced the securing of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) / Sesa funding for animation companies wanting to attend Dicon in South Korea, which takes place 1-5 November 2004.
It pays a grant of £400 per delegate and is paid within four weeks of the event closing. However, there is a maximum of 15 delegates in the group, and places are to be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Dicon is an digital content trade show including a programme of relevant meetings and events will be laid on to help the UK companies make the most of their visit.
The outward mission to Dicon follows a scoping mission undertaken by Pact animation members in March to assess the opportunities for UK animation companies to coproduce with their Korea counterparts.
As a result terms of trade for coproductions are currently being drafted by Pact and the Korea Animation Producers' Association.
The UKT&I deadline for returning completed application forms will be Thursday 30 September 2004.
