Imagica releases Imager XE – Advanced film scanner

Imagica has announced that the newest film scanner in its product line, the Imager XE - Advanced, is now shipping.
The new Imager XE - Advanced is two times the production speed of the current Imager XE, and incorporates the latest in high quality scanning technology that Imagica has developed.
The Imager XE - Advanced scans 4096 pixels across a 35mm Academy frame and provides cineon format with full RGB colour space (14bit A/D). The Imager XE - Advanced scans two seconds per frame for 2K down sampling and 4 seconds per frame for 4K original sampling with a new 5K- camera system.
Imagica will be releasing the 10K CCD option in October 2004, which enables 8K oversampling to create a high image quality 4K master and allows customers to obtain the highest quality scanning image. The camera is inter-changeable with the 5K CCD camera, and users can easily switch between the two cameras depending on the scanning project they're working on.
