MY TV NETWORK ANNOUNCE PROFITABLE START

MY TV Network launched their Portsmouth station at the start of June and according to sales logs were the most successful Restricted Service Licence (RSL) to go on air.
My TV Network had an income of £59,800 a week after launch.
There are currently ten other RSL on air in the country, including stations close by on the Isle of Wight, and Oxford, and none of these can boast getting off to such an outstanding launch. Even current market leaders, Channel 9 TV in Derry, Northern Ireland struggled to sell any spots for at least the first 6 months after launch.
My TV are an independent commercial station that receives their revenue from local businesses advertising and sponsoring programmes on the station, pages on the text service - My Text and on the web site. Businesses benefit from targeting customers in their catchment area with a pricing structure that is affordable and cost effective in comparison to other forms of media advertising such as print, radio, regional and national TV.
Managing Director, Steve Harris, said: "From the outset we set this business up as a local commercial television station providing a full service for the community, with an organised sales team and a clear sales strategy.
"We are delighted with the response that we have received from many local advertisers who have been willing to try this new sector - and we are delighted with the fast rising awareness of the station and its programming across Portsmouth and the surrounding area."
Southampton and Bournemouth will have their own My TV stations next year bringing the same benefits to business in those areas, as well as offering outstanding advertising value to companies which branches across the Solent region to target their market through local tailor made television. (CD)
