Leader to introduce LV5750 ultra-compact multi-standard SDI monitor at IBC

Leader's new LV5750 multi-standard SDI monitor is the world's first no-compromise ultra-compact broadcast signal analyser.
Being introduced to the European market at IBC 2004 in September, it offers all the key features of the multiple-award-winning LV5700A in just a quarter of chassis volume (221 x 133 x 103 mm WHD). The LV5750 is ideal for HD/SD field operation, OB-vans or flight cases, enabling camera crews and directors to maintain accurate colour balance during programme acquisition instead of losing time and money in extensive post-production colour-correction.
A tripod attachment allows the LV5750 to be mounted near a camera to double as a high quality viewfinder. The LV5750's front panel is identical in size to the LV5700A, accommodating the same easy-to-use control ergonomics and 1028 x 768 pixel 6.5 inch XGA TFT LCD colour screen. Twenty video formats are supported, including 1080i, 720p, 525i/59.94 and 625i/50. Key features include extensive error detection for SDI signal monitoring, individual or four-in-one multiple display of waveform, vectorscope, picture, status and embedded audio. A mini-jack headphone feed allowing fast and easy monitoring of embedded audio is mounted at the lower right of the control panel.
The LV5750 can be operated from 12V DC (30 W maximum power consumption) or via the supplied universal mains adaptor.
Options available include remote control unit, ethernet adapter, external viewing-hood, front cover and monitor trunk.
Paul Vos, managing director of elQuip, Leader's European Master Distributor, said: "In addition to its obvious applications in mobile origination, the LV5750 is ideally suited to post-production studios and desktop systems, providing a fast and reliable alternative to software-based waveform monitoring without compromising the host signal processing platform. It is not vulnerable to PC software compatibility and is big enough that nobody will accidentally take it home!"
