CONVERA SHOWCASES ASSET MANAGEMENT AT IBC 2001

CONVERA, formerly Excalibur Technologies, the leading provider of cross-lingual, multi-media, search and content management solutions, will be showcasing its latest improvements to Screening Room, which enables users to capture, manage, re-purpose and publish video content, for the first time in Europe at IBC 2001.
Following a series of key partnership initiatives over recent months with broadcast players such as Grass Valley, EMC, Artesia and Bulldog, Convera has ensured that the improvements will complement existing broadcast technologies, add value to video assets and be easily integrated within the broadcast environment.
Key improved features include Capture Automation Manager, which allows Screening Room to provide a self-contained multi-format, multi-resolution ingest capability allowing broadcasters to utilise video input from tape, satellite feeds or existing digital files.
