Hi Tech features control solutions at IBC2004

Through active partnering programmes with manufacturers, Hi Tech Systems continues to develop new features and panels to ensure that all the latest servers, DDRs and VTRs can provide top performance.
This ongoing work is now combined with a new solution-oriented approach to deliver what customers want, recorder/panel system operation, which will be unveiled at IBC 2004.
The new actiV Filer video server controller now offers more ergonomic control, more user feed back, a stylish panel and new facilities. This five-channel controller provides hands-on control through a fully interactive user interface that known for ease of learning and straightforward fast operation - ideal for live programming and events. The new sleek hardware panel design includes a high contrast 5½-inch graphic display that’s all part of a high level of operator feedback allowing stress-free on-air operation. Even complex replay tasks are resolved to a few button pushes.
Using industry-standard interfaces and protocols, it can store, recall, edit and cue up to 2000 clips and simultaneously control multiple channels over multiple servers. VTR-style controls and intelligent channel selection keys give operators control at their finger tips and full clip details including play timeline information on the panel – or even on the buttons themselves. Also new software brings new production tools including synchronised key & fill handling as well as controlling scheduled recordings and playbacks.
Applications range from live operation for games and quiz shows and events to automation back-up.
The new actiV Sports Controller offers the same level of control, ease of use and operator feedback as the actiV Filer with the addition of slow-motion control. It is optimised to provide solutions for the coverage and packaging of live broadcasting events that require instant replay in slow motion, as well as at full speed. The panel not only has sleek looks but is also loaded with the features to provide precise hands-on operation of recording and slow motion replays. The result is smooth motion replay from the T-bar with the frame accuracy that is essential for sports coverage – and which has already made Hi Tech Sports controllers a popular choice for sports broadcast operations around the world.
