First4media makes key appointment

First4media, Europe’s largest supplier of professional recordable media to the broadcast, postproduction and music industry, has announced the appointment of Julie Davis to the position of National Account Manager.
Julie will join the company at the end of August after returning from her honeymoon. At that point she will adopt her married name and will be known as Julie Stichbury.
Julie will join first4media from Ascent Media where she holds the position of Creative Services Manager and Client Manager, with responsibility for a number of Ascent’s key audio and postproduction clients. Her background in television and broadcasting includes positions at Pearson TV and the London Playout Centre, which recently became part of Ascent Media.
Her new responsibilities will include liaising between first4media and many of its larger clients including Ascent Media, Granada TV and the Moving Picture Company.
She said: “At first4media I will be using my experience in the broadcast industry to help existing clients and maximize new business opportunities. Client liaison is a job I really enjoy and I’m looking forward to this new challenge.”
Although she is now involved in the business side of the industry, Julie began her career as an actress and played younger sister Primrose to Catherine Zeta Jones’ Mariette Larkin in the TV Series ‘The Darling Buds of May’.
Commenting on her appointment, first4media’s managing director Nigel Morris said: “I am delighted that Julie will be joining first4media. Julie will play an important role in strengthening and developing our key client relationships, which are the cornerstone of our business.”
First4media is now a market leader offering from stock a comprehensive range of audio, video and data media. It currently holds over £1.5 million worth of stock and carries over 1,900 different product lines, from professional and specialist broadcasting formats through to the humble floppy disk. Sophisticated on-line trading was introduced in 2003 offering a 24/7 ordering service.
In addition, a team of sales and customer specialists are on hand to provide high quality customer support.
