Frontniche supply monitors to Intelsat

Frontniche have supplied Intelsat with six HDSDI 40" TFT monitors.
The 40" TFTs are the only monitors with 1.5Gbit input and 8ms refresh which eliminates 'smear' and fast motion artifacts.
Intelsat has undertaken a major upgrade of its video network, significantly increasing both capacity and locations. The state-of-the-art network, known as Terrestrial Media Transport (TMT), is among the first of its kind specifically designed to support both standard and high-definition digital video transmissions for news and sports distribution, contribution and syndication.
A critical element of the TMT is management and monitoring of the entire network from Intelsat's Video Operations Center (VOC) in Washington, D.C.
A key feature of maintaining service quality is the ability of the VOC to monitor the actual video be received from, and delivered to its customers at the many nodes in the network.
The Frontniche 40" HDSDI monitors were chosen for this function and integrated, as part of Intelsat's overall video network, by Tandberg Television.
