BBC Broadcast dominates 2004 Promax Awards

BBC Broadcast has dominated the international categories at this year’s PROMAX Awards ceremony held recently at the New York Hilton Hotel and Towers.
This year’s awards show, hosted by actor Michael Ian Black, marked the organization’s first combined awards presentation for both the PROMAX and BDA Awards.
Picking up an unprecedented 33 PROMAX awards in the International categories, as well as a Silver BDA award for its on-air image on behalf of UKG2, BBC Broadcast’s global business director Nigel Cole stated: “What a wonderful way to kick off our expansion into the US. The recognition of our work across the board by a jury of our peers is one of the best endorsements we could ever hope for and all of those lovely PROMAX award statues will certainly help to open many a door to us as we offer our team’s incredible creative vision and talents to networks here in America. Thank you judges and thank you PROMAX!”
BBC Broadcast, which recently announced its expansion into the US, picked up 18 Gold and 15 Silver awards for a variety of work. In addition to its team awards, BBC Broadcast’s Richard Acton was presented with the 2004 Aerodrome Rocket Award, which recognizes a producer, marketer or designer with four or less years of experience in promotion, marketing or design who is already creating outstanding work.
