Skylife HD premium movie channel selects Pro-Bel systems
Pro-Bel has been selected by Korean playout facility Skylife to provide the backbone for its 24/7 direct-to-home HD satellite channel.
The Pro-Bel equipment, which includes an HD TX Series master control switcher, a 128 x 128 Sirius SDV router and a 64 x 64 Sirius HD router, allows Skylife to playout the only 24-hour HD channel in Korea. Korean based Sion Media acted as the agent for the sale.
The master control switcher, which perfectly integrates into the Skylife automation system, provides immense flexibility when introducing voiceovers, inserting logos and producing squeezeback on its HD satellite movie channel in the heart of the transmission area.
Graham Pitman, Pro-Bel’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to be working with Skylife. Skylife is a major force in the HD domain reaching an important demographic in the Korean broadcasting portfolio.”
