Macrovision and ARC International sign worldwide license

Macrovision have announced that ARC International have signed a worldwide license to integrate FLEXlm®, the de facto standard for electronic licensing, into their software applications.
ARC International are a leading developer of user-customisable, high-performance embedded 32-bit microprocessor cores, with integrated development tools, peripherals, Real-time operating systems, software and other intellectual property.
Key areas in which the value of ARC's technology and tools has been established are the telecommunications, voice/data networking, and consumer electronics markets. Customers use ARC's processor technology in applications such as cable and DSL modems, network routers, 3D graphics chips, cordless telephones, and digital cameras.
"As providers of intellectual property solutions for microprocessor development, fast and reliable electronic licensing is essential for the timely delivery of our technology to customers. Macrovision¹s FLEXlm product provides the most efficient mechanism to protect, deliver and manage our licensing requirements," said Dr. Andy Elms, director of systems engineering at ARC International.
