FAIRLIGHT ESP APPOINT VP OF WORLDWIDE MARKETING

FAIRLIGHT ESP have announced the appointment of Karl Seglins as Vice President of Marketing.
Effective immediately, Seglins assumes complete responsibility for the development and implementation of the company's marketing communications programs, including public relations, advertising, collateral development, electronic marketing and trade-show and event marketing. In this position, Seglins reports directly to Fairlight Chief Operating Officer, John Lancken.
The appointment comes at a time of rapid expansion for the 26-year old Australia-based company. Seglins said: “We have a tremendously exciting product offering right now and nobody is better positioned to meet the needs of the emerging multi-format, multichannel audio industry. My objective in heading up this program is to communicate the unparalleled business potential and creative capabilities that come with owning a Fairlight.”
According to John Lancken, the promotion of Karl Seglins to Fairlight’s senior management team will benefit the company and its customers tremendously. He said: "Fairlight is doing some very exciting things right now from number of perspectives and having someone of Karl’s energy, experience and marketing calibre to help communicate this to our customers and potential customers will be a great asset to Fairlight and an essential ingredient to our success.”
Karl Seglins is a five-year veteran of Fairlight ESP having served as Marketing Services Manager, responsible for executing Fairlight’s marketing strategy through including public relations, advertising, print collateral, trade shows and the Internet. In this position, Seglins spent three years based at Fairlight’s Sydney headquarters and two years at the company’s Los Angeles offices.
Prior to joining Fairlight, Seglins headed up his own marketing communications agency servicing the Australian and Pan Asian professional audio and broadcast markets and working with clients including Yamaha Australia, Marantz, Sony, Amber Technology and Fairlight ESP. He alsowrote freelance for a number of Australian audio industry magazines and he is a founding member of the Sydney chapter of the AES.
