PINEWOOD TV INSTALL SECOND STUDER D950

STUDER have announced the installation of another Studer D950 digital mixing console in the new Studio K TV production studio on the Pinewood Lot just west of London.
The studio is already booked out for the next year producing the BBCs light entertainment flagship "The Weakest Link". This show has been in production for two months in the Studio J, installed in the autumn of last year including the first Studer D950 at Pinewood TV. Due to increased demand for TV production space at Pinewood a second complete digital studio has been built.
Since it’s installation Pinewood’s first Studer D950 has been in regular use for a wide variety of productions including sitcoms; Sam’s Game and My Family, live shows such as Tomorrows World Live Lab, and has proved popular with the sound supervisors.
Steve Gunn, Executive Director of Pinewood Television said: "This proves we made the right choice with our first Studer. It is an indication that we have found this advanced technology has been reliable in use despite the day-to-day rigors of television production and yet provides all the flexibility required for the fast turnaround of complex shows."
The newly installed Studer D950 has a 40 fader frame and is equipped with ample audio interfaces out of the Studer D19m range.
