JEAVONS APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER OF GHS

GHS, one of Scotland’s leading camera and grip facilities, have appointed a new General Manager in Glasgow.
Bram Jeavons, formerly a director of Logical Designs and Movie Camera Company in South Africa, takes up the new role in October 2001.
Jeavons replaces Mike Ellen who will continue as a consultant to the company while developing his career in production. Ellen has led the company since their merger with Shepperton based Axis Films in 1998.
Paul Carter, Group Managing Director, said: “Over the past three years we have seen the business in Scotland go from strength to strength under Mike Ellen’s guidance. We are sorry to see Mike move onto new pastures but are delighted to be able to appoint someone with the experience and reputation of Bram to take his place. This is a challenging time in the facility business and we are confident that Bram has the knowledge and expertise to move the company forward to its next phase.”
Jeavons said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of exploring a new market place and building upon the strong reputation of GHS. My aim is to exploit the experience that I have gained over a number of years in the 35mm and 16mm and to further develop the digital side of the company.” (CD)
