RTE and Renault Ireland renew 'The Late Late Show' sponsor deal

RTÉ have announced that the sponsorship agreement between 'The Late Late Show' and Renault Ireland has been renewed for a further year, up until May 2005.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Renault Ireland has sponsored RTÉ's flagship programme and the renewal of this sponsorship reflects the indomitable position of The Late Late Show as Ireland's favourite Friday night appointment-to-view.
Noel Curran, Managing Director, RTÉ Television, said: "We are delighted that Renault Ireland has renewed the sponsorship agreement with The Late Late Show. The decision to renew is a direct endorsement of the benefits of sponsoring prime time programming on RTÉ television in general, and of the perennial, broad, direct appeal and currency of the Late Late Show in particular. RTÉ looks forward to continuing this mutually beneficial relationship throughout the year."
The past season has seen The Late Late Show thriving; fending off indigenous competition in the early part of the season; delivering the inimitable mix of controversy, discussion, entertainment and music that continues to attract audiences in huge numbers.
More than half of the people watching television every single Friday night between 9.30pm and 11.30pm are looking at The Late Late Show. This translates to at least 630,000 viewers on average, with some shows engaging audiences of over 800,000 (figures Nielsen Research).
Bill Cullen, Chairman of Renault Ireland, said: “We are very pleased to be renewing our association with the Late Late Show. We have enjoyed great success in the Irish market in recent years and, of all our marketing initiatives in that time, it is my opinion that our sponsorship of the Late Late Show has been amongst the most successful.
"I believe the Show will continue to go from strength to strength and that our partnership will be of great benefit to both of us. I’d like to personally wish Pat Kenny, Jim Jennings and the rest of their team every good wish for the coming season.”
