Quartz expands master control range

Quartz has announced the addition of new models and features in their fast growing range of master control products here at NAB.
QMC-HD, the high definition master control switcher can now process 16 channels of audio. Unique to Quartz, this is an increasingly valuable feature as more and more stations move to Dolby 5.1 and multi-lingual transmissions. For customers using Dolby E, the QMC-HD now offers optional internal Dolby E decoders. Enhancements to the QMC-HD’s internal Logo keyer now allow two independent logos to be stored and controlled, adding another layer of production power to the system. Storage has been expanded using removable compact flash cards and now supports logo animation and audio clip storage.
QMC-LT is a low cost addition to the QMC range for small market stations. Fully compatible with the rest of the QMC range, QMC-LT also offers a way to add additional channels at lower cost to an existing multi-channel QMC system.
SPT-MC is a new Signal Processing Technology module for the Xenon router launched today. The new SPT module allows Master Control functions to be carried out inside the router. Up to 16 channels can be processed in an 8U Xenon frame so the new module allows high-density multi-channel systems to be put together. The SPT-MC module uses the same wide range of control panels available for the QMC range and channels in the Xenon router and standalone QMC channels can all work together as part of an integrated multi-channel system.
With these new additions Quartz continues to offer the widest and most flexible range of master control products in the industry.
