FAIRLIGHT OVERHAUL MOST OF THEIR PRODUCT LINE

FAIRLIGHT have overhauled almost their entire product line and introduced the radically new, high performance/low cost of ownership Digital Recording, Editing And Mixing (DREAM) suite of multi-channel, multi-format technologies.
The DREAM family is comprised of multiple components — a stand alone editor, an integrated editor/mixer with expandable fader modules, and a fully fledged integrated mixer/editor presented as a large format mixing console.
Offering outstanding flexibility and a seamless upgrade path from Fairlight’s already well-established platforms, DREAM offers a window to the future of digital audio production and post production.
Speed of performance, adaptability to changing market and project needs, ease of operation, sophistication of functionality, and an open architecture designed to encourage third-party plug-in development are the technical hallmarks of DREAM. Yet, the DREAM family is also designed with the realities of the media industry in mind: Fairlight pitch DREAM as being more cost-effective than any other comparable post production system available today, and its flexibility and scalability will make it an essential choice for all types and sizes of audio post facilities.
The DREAM family consists of several integrated system components, each designed to operate as a team or independently. The major elements are:
The DREAM Satellite — a 16 to 48-track digital audio production system offering all of the power and functionality of the Fairlight QDC engine; The DREAM Station — a fully integrated editing and mixing system. In its largest configuration the DREAM Station offers 48 tracks of recorder and editor plus eight live returns mixing into any format up to 7.1, plus auxiliaries;
The DREAM Console — for the larger facility, the DREAM Console represents the peak of performance for full recording, editing, production and mixing of the most complex multi-format audio projects. A fully configured DREAM Console offers 48 tracks of Binnacle editing seamlessly integrated to 96 audio channels with 6-band EQ and 2-stage dynamics plus 48 returns and 48 auxiliary inputs simultaneously mixing a total of 192 inputs into multiple multi-format busses. With the same EQ, Dynamics and plug-ins capabilities as Station, but on a much larger scale, and with full compatibility, projects may be naturally transferred between the platforms for iterative work, the DREAM Console offers bussing, panning, grouping, linking, recording and editing facilities specifically targeted at multi-format work which have been hitherto unavailable on any system at any price, and puts them within reach of any facility aiming at serious production and mixing work.
