Leitch approves Sanbolic's Melio FS for VelocityQ

Leitch Technology Corporation has announced that Sanbolic’s Melio FS shared file system for storage area networks has been tested and approved for use with the award-winning VelocityQ multi-stream non-linear editing system.
Sanbolic specialises in software for sharing and access of data. Melio FS is a shared file system, giving the users in the network simultaneous write and read access to files and providing unlimited scalability of workstations and storage. Melio FS is designed for applications demanding high-performance, reliability and ease of use, and does not require a meta data controller - all data is transferred over the Fibre Channel network, and the SAN-connected stations can be extended over LAN or WAN.
The configuration certified for VelocityQ includes Sanbolic's Melio FS, nStor Corporation's NexStor 4000F 2-Gigabit Fibre Channel storage array, QLogic's SANbox2 Fibre Channel fabric switch and LSI Logic LSI409190 2-Gigabit Fibre Channel host bus adapters.
