Soho 601 post new CGI Nickelodeon title

Soho 601 have completed the new CGI titles for Nickelodeon's breakfast show, 'You're Nicked!'
Soho 601's Gaia Predasi incorporated elements of CGI and live action to create a look for the sequence, using 3D animation to create a 2D style.
Predasi said: "Working with Paul Ayre is always a pleasure as he's the ideal client - he knows exactly what he wants but leaves you free to interpret his ideas and add to it if you wish.
"The style I used in this job was described by Paul as '2D 3D', he doesn't like very 'shiny 3D' he prefers the more graphical matt, almost vector style, seen in Flash animation.
"Very often for that 'almost 2D style' it is common to use special texture shaders that produce a completely flat 2D look. I decided to use very matt 3D shaders so that the surfaces would look almost flat but still pick up a slight amount of highlights on the edges to give that sense of volume and depth."
