DOCUMENTARIES BOOST ELECTRIC SKY SALES

PROVING a best-seller for international distributor Electric Sky is ‘Empires Of Stone: Acropolis’ and ‘Empires Of Stone: Colosseum’.
The latest broadcasters to acquire Empires Of Stone, produced by October films for DCI and Channel 4, include RTE (Ireland), ATV Hong Kong, NHK in Japan, and Uniportugal in Portugal.
David Pounds, Chief Executive of Electric Sky, said: “Broadcasters cannot ignore the impact of high-end graphics in the current climate of documentary viewing. The surge of interest for animation driven documentaries is growing, and Electric Sky’s catalogue is expanding accordingly”.
Empires Of Stone: Colosseum solves the mysteries of time and restores the building to its former glory astounding its audience with graphical and dramatic reconstructions (created by animation house Skaramoosh) of the gory games for which it is legendary.
Empires Of Stone: Acropolis restores the entire site to the brilliant purity of its original conception. In doing so it reveals the extraordinary building skills and architectural aesthetics that make the Parthenon, and the other great buildings of the Acropolis, unique.
