Young Scottish filmmakers take major award

A group of young filmmakers from West Hailes in Edinburgh, all members of the youth group Young People Speak Out, have taken the award for Best Horror Short Film at the First Light Awards in London.
The film, ‘Cry Wolf’, was produced by five boys, Darryn Paget, Colin Kimber, David Bain, Scott Donald and Iain Dickson, under the watchful eye of their video technician and mentor Keith Bradley.
The Awards ceremony took place at the Odeon Cinema in London's Leicester Square where the young winners received their award from Film Council Chairman Sir Alan Parker and met with industry luminaries Jenny Eclair, Alex Zane and Dougray Scott.
