MEDIApro to upgrade OB vehicle for HD

MEDIApro is to refurbish one of its OB trucks to make it HD capable.
Eumóvil (a member of the MEDIApro group located near Madrid) OB-2 is being transformed to work with up to 12 HD cameras and will be equipped with two 4-channel HD LSM-XT replay and editing servers.
The two systems will be interconnected by means of SportNet SDTI networking using a NetGuard hub to ease cabling and in view of future expansions.
Thierry Huin, co-founder and Eumovil's Technical Director, said: "As far as servers for live productions are concerned EVS XT systems is the standard for the MEDIApro group."
Eumóvil operate nine modern OB vans, while MEDIApro as a whole owns 25 outside broadcasting vehicles; all are equipped with the last generation digital cameras in 16/9 format and LSM-XT servers since late 2002.
