BAL BROADCAST LAUNCHES VERSATILE MIXER

THE BALM40A Presentation Mixer is a high-performance A-B mixer for use in Serial Digital Video (SDV) environments with embedded audio facilities.
The built-in mix/wipe effects and separate AES/EBU audio input for voice-over make the Mixer ideal for multi-channel playout applications.
The Mixer provides a true preview output with rehearse function, allowing all actions to be checked before use on air.
It is controlled from the BALMCPA Manual Control Panel. This panel provides the user with easy, independent control over the video and audio signals including audio "shuffling".
Automation control is available via an RS422 serial port.
The BALM40A has a set of standard linear wipes and can perform cross-fades and fades to black/silence. The built-in linear keyer gives the user full control over the black, white and transparency levels.
All user-set parameters are held in non-volatile memory ensuring full context recovery in the event of power failure.
Although the Mixer can be used free-standing, it is designed to interface with other presentation equipment such as a logo generator, clock and character generator to provide a powerful playout suite.
