Ascent complete Systems Integration Center purchase

Ascent Media Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, have reached an agreement with Sony to acquire the assets of Sony’s San Jose-based Systems Integration Center (SIC), effective January 1, 2004.
New Jersey-based A.F. Associates (AFA), an Ascent Media Network Services company and leader in the design and integration of turnkey systems for broadcast, cable, satellite and corporate clients, will incorporate SIC directly into their operations while maintaining the San Jose location. Nearly 60 former SIC employees have joined AFA, enhancing the significant depth and experience of AFA’s operations in the key areas of technology, engineering design and installation.
AFA will continue to be led by Tom Canavan, President, along with his existing team based out of the New Jersey office. AFA management has expanded to include David Orr, former VP/GM of SIC, now Sr. Vice President, Western Operations, and Keith Jackson, now Director, Professional Services.
