Television Drama At Elstree Studios
Elstree Studios is a leading Television Drama Studio. We are the home of Sony Left Bank Pictures, Netflix-original series, The Crown, and Kudos Productions' Grantchester and Humans.
The Crown uses three stages including George Lucas Stage 1. The Crown also have use of the backlot which is three acres and ideal for large set builds.
The series is set to run for six seasons and will explore the Queen's entire reign. New actors and actresses will be brought in to play Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip for the show's third and fourth season. The new Queen replacing Claire Foy for the third season is the wonderful, Olivia Colman. The actor replacing Matt Smith has yet to be announced.

Other dramas include Kudos Productions' Grantchester and Humans. Both have used Elstree Studios as their production base since their first series.
They have costume and prop stores and production offices.
Creative England, based at Elstree Studios, has thousands of filming locations across South England. For example, Aldbury Village, Hatfield House, Cassiobury Park and many more.
There is a multitude of spectacular and diverse location filming opportunities within an hour's drive of Elstree Studios.
Options include film friendly market towns, stunning country houses, countryside, industrial, quintessential English villages, period buildings & streets, coastal and much more which is perfect for dramas.
