'Star Boot Sale' Commissioned by Channel 4
Channel 4 has announced the commission of a new series Star Boot Sale (w/t).
The 20x30' series will see a number of famous faces – including Anthea Turner, Joe Pasquale, Michelle Heaton, Nancy Sorrell and Sam Thompson – sell their unwanted items and memorabilia at car boot sales around the country with the proceeds going to their favourite charities.
Star Boot Sale will be produced by Wales-based Boomerang and Motion Content Group. It has been commissioned by David Sayer for Channel 4 with Sam Grace as the Executive Producer for Boomerang and Melanie Darlaston as the Executive Producer for Motion Content Group.
Sam Grace, Director of Programmes at Boomerang, said: "It's amazing what's lurking in celebrities' closets. This is the show that will reveal all. We can't wait to invite some much-loved personalities to wake at the crack of dawn, don their wellies and see what they can rustle up for charity."
Melanie Darlaston, Executive Producer for Motion, added: "There's nothing quite like a boot sale to bring out the celebrities' inner 'Del Boy' and unleash some healthy rivalry as they compete to make the most money for their chosen charity."
