Blue Ridge prepare for HD and multi-channel broadcasting

Blue Ridge Public Television have installed Sundance Digital's FastBreak Automation to gear up for an upgrade to both High Definition (HD) and multi-program Standard Definition (SD) digital broadcasting.
Sundance Digital, located in the metropolitan Dallas area, furnishes cost-effective, high-performance broadcast automation software solutions for master control and the newsroom.
The FastBreak Automation configuration chosen by Blue Ridge controls a SeaChange BMC-1637 server (with seven expansion chassis, it is the largest broadcast server in America). The Sundance system has four media Prep Stations for tape ingest, and Intelli-Sat(tm) 'Schedule and Record Manager' to capture SDI and ASI embedded video from 12 digital satellite receivers.
FastBreak Automation is a robust, scaleable and frame-accurate controller of video servers and other station peripherals. Intelli-Sat offers powerful device control and record schedule management for satellite and network feeds.
The system controls four separate SDI channels with full redundancy. Two Sundance ListSync Air Station computers provide real-time playlist backup.
