SpaceCrate Delivers ADR By The Container Load

News Image
SpaceCrate, the professional-spec creative space in a shipping container, has been delivering results by the container-load in its first outing on a feature film.

Deployed on set and transported as needed between two separate filming locations, SpaceCrate has been used as a soundproofed, air conditioned and acoustically treated ADR studio on a major feature film.

Allowing actors from around the world to perform ADR while in character and on-set, just a few steps from the stage and from their trailer in the unit base.

ADR Mixer, Rob Edwards AMPS, commented: "I could see when SpaceCrate arrived on set that my recording prayers had been answered. SpaceCrate allowed me to record with minimal noise disturbance from the busy set. I was able to record freely in a comfortable, air conditioned and acoustically controlled environment, and get fantastic results. SpaceCrate was a huge hit with all of the cast, as well as the Director who appreciated its slick design, ease of location and the overall flexibility it offered.

"This job would have been impossible to pull off without SpaceCrate, and I have to compliment their team on the brilliant detailed build and fantastic service they offered throughout the duration of the job."

First announced in the summer of 2016, SpaceCrate is a permanent or temporary, professional-spec creative space designed for a variety of applications in Media & Entertainment, for production and post. Prefabricated for cost effective, simple deployment and instant use, almost anywhere in the world, SpaceCrate is constructed within the standard ISO-spec 20-foot shipping container and is every bit as modular, secure, transportable and recyclable. Stunning interior design, studio-grade isolation and acoustics, power prep and air conditioning are standard.
