Enhanced features for Axis router family unveiled

Chyron Corporation have announced that an enhanced, editable database is now included as standard for the self contained, multi-format 16x16 Axis router range.
Axis is an intuitive and highly configurable range of routers, and the new database function will allow operators to select complex combinations of routes at the touch of a single button. The ability to customise source and destination names - to vary the relationships between the audio and video levels and to configure control panel buttons to the customer's requirement - is essential for a user-friendly control interface. Other programmable options include control port configuration, video standard, and audio modification such as left-right swap or mono-combine, assignable by source or by destination.
The 1U Axis range comprises 16 x 16 routers for video and audio, both serial digital and true analogue, as well as for uncompressed HDTV - all with integral control. Axis routers can be linked together with one Axis, and its database operating as master controller with others as slaves. The master unit can have an integral XY control panel, external panels or remote serial ports. Axis is also fully compatible with all the other routers and router controllers in the Chyron range.
