Channel 4 Appoints Commissioning Editor For Factual Entertainment

Channel 4 has appointed a new Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment.

Gilly Greenslade will report to Head of Factual Entertainment Kelly Webb-Lamb.

Greenslade is an experienced filmmaker who specialises in bringing mischief and warmth to popular factual and factual entertainment programmes. Gilly joined Simon Dickson and Lorraine Charker-Phillip's Label1 in January 2016 as a Development Executive, before going on to Series Produce BBC TWO’s Hospital. She is currently series producing the second series.

Webb-Lamb said: "Gilly is rare in having the breadth of experience we need in Factual Entertainment. She has a wicked sense of humour and an instinctive feel for a cracking story. She has dedicated her career to making programmes that entertain whilst offering a commentary on the world around us, and we are really lucky that she is bringing her passion for the genre to the channel."

Greenslade said: "Working alongside Simon and Lorraine has been an incredible experience and while I'm sad to be leaving at such an exciting time for Label1, I am delighted to be joining Kelly and the Factual Entertainment team at Channel 4. I absolutely love the sort of smart, warm, revealing formats that Channel 4 has always been at the forefront of innovating. The chance to work on much-loved existing series, and to commission the next wave of ambitious formats, is simply irresistible."
