Media Trust Issues Call For Filmmakers
Media Trust has issued a call for filmmakers to create three-minute films that provide an insight on migrant and diaspora communities in London.
The UK charity is looking for filmmakers between the ages of 18 and 30 that self-identify with a migrant or diaspora community to create the films. They will need to be available from late March until the end of May.
The films are part of MyLondon, a media training project funded by Trust for London, which aims to amplify the voices of 12 migrant and diaspora communities in London. The project seeks to highlight the positive stories about hidden communities and challenge misrepresentation and underrepresentation in the media.
As part of the project, Media Trust will be commissioning 12 short films to showcase these communities and their contribution to the diversity of London.
