The Job Interview To Return To Channel 4

Channel 4 has announced that The Job Interview is to return for a second series. The fixed-rig format show follows individuals during the interview process for real jobs being offered by real employers.

The Job Interview was commissioned by Madonna Benjamin. It was co-created by Label1 Creative Director Simon Dickson and Head of Programmes Lorraine Charker-Phillips. The series producers on season two are Genna Gibson and Anshu Ahuja.

Madonna Benjamin, Commissioning Executive, Documentaries for Channel 4, said: "At a time when the audience wants to see aspirational stories of people doing well, it's great to have a recruitment show on the Channel that offers up the chance to find the job you've been looking for."

Simon Dickson, Creative Director of Label1 and co-executive of The Job Interview, added: "TJI is a really simple format, packed with jaw-dropping moments and unexpected emotion. We are delighted that Channel4 is giving us the opportunity to go again for a second series. Their decision to recommission it comes just as we set off on our adventures as a 'true' indie."

Lorraine Charker-Phillips, Label1 Head of Programmes and co-executive of the series, commented: "TJI is the most authentic portrayal of the job-seeking process on British TV. Eight months on, more than half of the successful candidates hired on-screen by the bosses in season one are still in their jobs and doing well at their respective companies. This isn't just reality TV – it's workplace matchmaking."

Formerly part of ITV Studios, Label1 is now an independently owned and operated television production company.
