IMG Norway Selects SAM's LiveTouch
IMG Norway has announced that it has chosen Snell Advanced Media's (SAM) LiveTouch system to produce replay and highlights packages for its live horse racing coverage.
The system is used to create instant content for its live studio show which broadcasts races from selected tracks in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, and other international races, as well as to produce replay and highlights packages for its pre-recorded magazine show.
During the system design, implementation and training stages of the project, IMG Norway worked alongside Mediability, SAM's reseller partner for Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The system is built around two LiveTouch high speed production servers and provides users open access to all recording feeds, highlights and playlists made throughout the facility. This allows instant collaboration between replay and edit during live broadcasts.
IMG Norway also invested in SAM's desktop editing solutions and Go! HTML browser/editor to allow its users to view all content from any of their media libraries remotely, from either a desktop or tablet web browser.
Trond Larsen, Head of Technical Operations at IMG Media Norway, said: "Mediability and SAM really understood our needs, working with us to develop a solution that removes all the restrictions we had with our previous system. LiveTouch is highly resilient and extremely versatile and can be adapted and expanded to suite any alternative workflows we may have in the future.
"All our operators have access to all content stored on our LiveTouch servers allowing projects to be shared instantly. Combined with the highly responsive LiveTouch panel really does deliver a game-changing sports production workflow."
