Enhance Your Product With BES' 4K Patching Equipment

News Image
Streaming services, live sporting events and even a small number of Blu-ray films are now available in 4K as Ultra High Definition content production escalates across the industry.

"Numerous broadcasters have already adopted 4K technology and upgraded their infrastructure, but it is clear that others are still assessing the effect it will have on workflows and storage. 4K is however, on its way to mainstream technology and organisations should integrate it sooner rather than later to remain ahead in this fast paced sector," said Darren Fuller, Product Manager at BES.

"BES have manufactured the first 4K patching panel, designed with a flexible system to ensure it meets the needs of the broadcaster and supports both current and future broadcasting tasks. As with all our products, innovation, reliability and performance were at the forefront of the development to produce a panel that exceeds 12GHz for a future-proof product which will be an asset to the studio."

With re-engineered MUdigSA style connectors, the range of 4K panels meet and exceed SMPTE ST2082-1:2015 with up to 2 x 32 patching options, housed in a robust milled 1U extruded aluminium structure. They are ideal for use in general broadcasting, satellite uplinks, within the studio, or for outside broadcasting trucks.

BES continues to adapt to the industry and our customers' needs, however, off-the shelf products are not always enough and therefore we also offer custom solutions to help meet unusual or specialist specifications.
