BS Graphics purchase DVS CineControl

DVS have announced the sale of two DVS CineControl systems to BS Graphics, the first sales worldwide of the new on-set capture system for digital film.
The Moscow based film production house will employ the systems with two Viper Film- Stream cameras for in-house commercials and other high quality production work. DVS CineControl acquires uncompressed HD data from all professional digital video cameras. It is connected either via single or dual link HD-SDI. The on-set capturing system includes a simple-to-operate user interface and a high-resolution preview monitor for screening the incoming footage. On set the film crew gets an immediate impression of the content and colour quality of the shot. The footage is stored onto the modular disk array, DVS CineReel, available in capacities between 576 Gigabyte and 1.8 Terabytes.
Sergey Bazhenov, president of BS Graphics, said: "We chose the DVS digital film capturing solution as it is simple to use, powerful and reliable. Capturing HD data directly to disk is a new science."
