New Avid products on show at VideoForum 2002
AVID will be among the international companies exhibiting at VideoForum 2002 in London’s Wembley Hall1 from February 5-7.
It is expected that Avid will unveil the latest version of XpressDV, the multi-task, flexible professional video non-linear editing system capable of operating on a range of applications, including the Internet.
Avid will be holding seminars on non-linear editing skills and operators will be on hand to demonstrate the intricacies of the medium.
There will be a basic editing workshop to put the Avid Xpress DV through a variety of tasks including the assembly of rough cuts, rearranging shots with drag and drop, using the trim tools and adding dissolves, fades and titles.
An effects workshop will guided visitors through the creation of effects sequences, including the use of multiple video layers, titles, graphics and nested effects.
The third party plug-in workshop will lecture in the use of Boris FX, Boris Graffiti and Knoll Light Factory, which constitute part of the Xpress DV power pack.
This will also feature an introduction to Elastic Gasket, which is a plug-in enabling after-FX plug-ins to be used on Avid products. (GMcG)
