Thomson report orders of euro 2.8m from Russian Federation

Thomson have reported orders worth euro 2.8 million for their Grass Valley products from customers in the Russian Federation zone.
The orders span the company’s camera, vision mixer, intelligent video recorder (iVDR), server, router, and master-control lines, as well as their film-imaging products.
“We are delighted with the interest across our Grass Valley lines from broadcast and post-production organisations in the Russian Federation,” said Marc Valentin, president of Thomson Broadcast & Media Solutions. “As this market continues to grow, we are finding a very positive reception from customers looking for digital equipment that can increase the production value of their programming while streamlining workflows and making the most of their capital budgets.”
The products will be used in a variety of television and film based post-production, as well as live-production applications. The use of these advanced digital technologies further strengthens Thomson’s leading position in key markets such as live, studio, mobile production as well as digital acquisition and postproduction.
By supporting highly efficient workflows, these solutions will help broadcasters and film and video professionals make a more affordable and rapid shift to digital.
